BC Curriculum
The BC Curriculum website is a vital tool for any incoming and practicing teachers. It outlines the complete expectations from grades K-12 using a “Know-Do-Understand” model of learning. It showcases Big Ideas, Content, and Curricular Competencies necessary for any strong teacher, making each of them easily reference-able for our journeys toward being independent Elementary School teachers. As education students who have begun our journeys through online school we have been challenged in ways that those before us have not, but by having this concrete tool of expectations at our disposal at all times, we have been able to better navigate these challenges that have been presented to us. The BC curriculum exists so as to give each and every student and teacher a chance at being the best they can be within their own respective education paths.
